Learning
We are all individuals, and we do not all learn in the same way.
Learning becomes more meaningful when it feels personal, engaging and memorable.
Discover a different way to learn →One Size Does Not Fit All
We are all individuals, and we do not all learn in the same way. Some people are visual learners, some connect with numbers, some love reading, and others learn best through repetition, conversation or practical experience.
That is why I have always questioned the idea that thirty-five children can sit in one classroom, receive the same information in the same way and all be expected to understand it equally.
For me, learning should be engaging, memorable and, whenever possible, fun. It does not always need to begin with a textbook. Sometimes the best learning starts with a question, a picture, a story, a game or a simple scribble on a whiteboard.
Have a go
From a Scribble to Something Wonderful
Some of my students tell me, “I can’t draw.” I simply say, “Have a go. Draw a scribble and let’s see what we can turn it into.”
Very often, they surprise themselves. A line becomes a shape, a shape becomes a character and, before they realise it, they have created something they did not believe they could make.
That small moment matters because learning is not only about finding the right answer. It is also about building confidence, encouraging curiosity and giving someone the freedom to try without being afraid of getting it wrong.
When learning feels safe, creative and personal, it becomes something we remember.
Learning Can Be an Adventure
Learning can happen through books, conversation, drawing, games, movement, stories and the courage to try something new. The method may be different for each person, but the goal is the same: to help every learner feel capable, curious and proud of their progress.
There is no single right way to learn — only the way that helps each person flourish.
